YWAM MadisonYouth With A Mission (YWAM) Madison is committed to empowering this generation to transform the nations. Mission StatementYouth With A Mission-Madison serves as a bridge to the nations, in response to the Biblical directive to “love your neighbor as yourself.” Our goal is to offer young people of all nations an opportunity to receive personal encouragement, and promote an atmosphere of love and understanding in a cross-cultural Christian community environment. Who We AreWe’re the young and the young-at-heart. We come from Europe, Asia, Central America, and all across the US. Some of us are single, others are married and just starting families. Some of us are “retired” and still serving in missions. What keeps us together is our passion to serve God and to make him known to people around the world! We love teaching, evangelism, showing God’s love through practical ways, meeting the needs of our neighbors, communicating what God’s doing world-wide, and sharing the need for more people to answer God’s call to “go into all the world.” We’re passionate about agriculture and clean water, helping children at risk, putting an end to human trafficking, China, loving and caring for people with AIDS, serving the elderly, and showing attention and care to the homeless, and so much more. Here at YWAM Madison, there’s room for everyone to show God’s love to the world in a variety of ways. We’d love to have you join us! What We DoYWAM Madison trains young people to show God’s love to the world. We also go into the nations and our own city to show the gospel. You can fit most of our activities into three categories: training, evangelism, and service (or mercy ministry). Training: In Madison, we offer Christian training, Bible studies and Bible schools, missionary training, and more on a wide variety of topics. From hour-long workshops or seminars, to a nine-month Bible school, we have programs for people from 13+. The Discipleship Training School is the entry point into joining staff with YWAM or for completing any of the hundreds of University of the Nations courses.
Evangelism: When working in other cultures and among people of other faiths, Christ’s message of peace is our starting point. We believe everyone has the right to hear this message and our hope is to see fellowships of believers, worshipping and following Jesus in every nation, tribe and tongue. Service & Mercy: In Madison, we reach out to incarcerated teens and children from low-income communities, we show compassion to the homeless and bring them meals each week. We also send teams to other communities, in our nation and across the ocean, to meet their needs and show them God’s love. Join us! |
